 . . . . . . “Jim Roseveare is equally as rigorous but he concentrates on the materials from which the church has been constructed. His carefully considered sculptural works are clever interventions in which he sets up a dialogue between the fabric of the church and its iconography. He is interested in the minutiae; the smells, the textures, the quality of light, the grain of the wood the pile of the carpet and the simulacra of stains. The work encourages the viewer to reflect upon the quandary between things timesgone and things timesnow.”
